The annual meeting was held on November 29, 2012, at the Prairie Village Community Center on the City Campus at 7700 Mission Road.
Approximately 21 residents attended the meeting.
Also present were representatives from Mission Valley Neighbors Association. Whitney Kerr and Brian Doerr spoke for 10 minutes and outlined their opposition to the development of the property known as Mission Valley Middle School. They would like for the property to remain single family residential like the surrounding area.
Speaking for the developers of the property, Joe Tutera spoke for 10 minutes about their plans to develop the property as a senior living complex. He brought drawings and explained that most of the new buildings would be single story, except for the area along Mission Road.
Minutes from the meeting will be distributed along with your invoice for 2013 Homes Association dues.
